“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.”
(From “Stray Birds” by Rabindranath Tagore)

This parrot came at sunset nearby a window of the remains of a madrasa in the Hauz Khas complex in Delhi…

“Peace comes from within.
Do not seek it without”.
(Buddha – Hindu Prince Gautama Siddharta, 563-483 B.C.)

This reader was sitting at the gate of the staircase leading to the Nepali Temple at Lalita ghat along the Ganges in Varanasi (Benaras).
He was enjoying the winter sun after braving the cold that people have to brave since a few nights in the Eternal city.

“Out of the sky, the birds, the parrots, the bells, silk, cloth, and drums, out of Sundays dancing, children’s words and love words, out of love for the little fists of children, I will build a world, my world with round shoulders.”
(Aimé Césaire – French poet, author and politician, 1913–2008)

Last afternoon those four parrots were dancing in the air at Munshi ghat along the Ganges in Varanasi (Benaras).

“You must understand the whole of life, not just one little part of it.
That is why you must read, that is why you must look at the skies, that is why you must sing, and dance, and write poems, andsuffer, and understand, for all that is life.”
(Jiddu Krishnamurti – Indian Theosophist Philosopher, 1895-1986)

Once I met those men at Gai ghat nearby the holy waters of the Ganges.
They were talking, laughing and enjoying the morning sun.
They didn’t have much nevertheless something in the attitude and in the state of happiness around them made me believe that they understood the whole of life referred by Jiddu Krishnamurti.
