“Thoughts are the shadows of our feelings – always darker, emptier and simpler.”
(Friedrich Nietzsche – German philosopher, 1844-1900)

After taking a bath in the holy waters of the Ganges, this lady came nearby Jatar ghat where I was taking pictures.
Then she changed her garments and she stood for a while under a red sari which she hung in order to dry.
It was at dawn when the heat was not over Varanasi (Benaras) yet and people could still enjoy some freshness for a few more minutes.
She was wrapped in her thoughts.
Later we spoke while she was folding her clothes, like many elders she was wondering why I took so many pictures of her.
I answered that it was because she was beautiful and then she burst into laughter saying I was “paagal” (crazy in Hindi).
