“The things which the child loves remain in the domain of the heart until old age. The most beautiful thing in life is that our souls remaining over the places where we once enjoyed ourselves.” (Kahlil Gibran – Lebanese born American philosophical Essayist, Novelist and Poet, 1883-1931) A few weeks ago I went to a little village near Lucknow in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh where I met some Hindu and Muslim families living in harmony. Most of the ladies there are making Chikan embroidery, the famous style from Lucknow. They knew I was coming in order to make pictures so they were wearing their best saris, everyone was happy and smiling. Those people gave me energy and most of all hope in a possible sense of Unity. It seems that everyone was enjoying living there and I wish this child to remember this feeling all his life…
