“PRAYER is divine love alone.
When this highest ideal of love is reached, philosophy is thrown away.
Who will then care of it ?
Freedom, salvation, nirvana- all are thrown away.
Who cares to become free while in the enjoyment of divine love?”
(Swami Vivekananda – Indian Spiritual leader, 1863-1902)

Those two men were praying on a platform facing the holy waters of the Ganges in Varanasi (Benaras).
It was before sunset.
One opened the fabrics of his dhoti and stretched his body on it, as if he was coming from a composition in a painting by Zurbarán.

I couldn’t understand how to leave a testimonial on your flickr profile so I will leave my thoughts of admiration here. Thank you for the joy your photographs have given me. I look forward to exploring them more. I hope to learn from you, in aesthetics and your vision of the world we live in.
