In the pool of Nectar

15 In the pool of Nectar

“O God, bathe me in the pool of nectar. So that I may meditate on your Name, The root of joy, the life of the world, The giver to all men; Then I shall feel blessed.”
(Guru Ram Das Ji)

I took this picture last Friday in Armitsar ( which means The Pool of the Nectar of Immortality), the holiest city in Sikhism, in the state of Punjab, India.

The gold colour there is the reflection of the Golden Temple in the waters.
Sikh devotees, for whom the Temple is a symbol of infinite freedom and spiritual independence, come here from all over the world to enjoy its environs and offer their prayers.
